Dan's Delicious Dinners & Dishes

This page is the original root system of the whole site: phone-shot dinners, comfort food experiments, and recipe rabbit holes that slowly turned a hosting project into an actual personal corner of the internet.

Proof that a personal website can start with dinner photos and still become something bigger.

Where the site started

Before the homepage redesigns and consulting pages, this was the part of the site that actually felt alive. It was simple: cook something, take a picture, save the link, and leave a note with a little personality instead of pretending the internet always needs to be polished.

Chicken adobo and a little diplomacy

Some of these meals are just dinners. Some of them come with context. The adobo entry is both a recipe test and a social bet: if you are cooking for your girlfriend's family, maybe start with sincerity and garlic.

  • The rules here are loose. Sometimes there is a polished recipe link. Sometimes the note is the whole point.
  • The tone stays personal. This page works better as a journal with appetite than as a perfect recipe database.
  • The photos stay real. These are phone shots, not food-styling exercises, which is exactly why the page has any charm.

Still the most personal page on the site

For all the infrastructure work and portfolio polish elsewhere, this page still does something useful: it makes the site feel like it belongs to a real person. That is worth keeping.
